JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities

• Observe maintain and improve the companys Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with automotive industry standards (IATF1649)
• Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and industry certifications including IATF 16949 and other applicable standards.
• Manage annual audit plan for internal customer and third-party certification audits.
• Lead all quality assurance and quality control activities for automotive seat covers and interior component manufacturing operations.
• Ensure that safety-critical customer requirements are understood and consistently met across all plants. Promote the implementation of new safety-critical initiatives and systematically monitor their effectiveness.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma APQP PPAP FMEA SPC MSA and other quality tools.
• Lead customer quality interface activities including audits corrective actions quality reviews customer visits and issue resolution.
• Establish quality objectives KPIs and performance metrics to improve operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation to eliminate recurring quality issues.
• Collaborate closely with Operations Engineering Supply Chain and Program Management teams to ensure product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
• Oversee supplier quality management programs including supplier audits qualification development and performance improvement initiatives.
• Develop and mentor quality teams to foster a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement.
• Prepare and present quality performance reports to executive leadership and customers.
• Support new product launches by ensuring compliance with Advanced quality planning (APQP) and validation requirements.
• Product safety and compliance representative and leader. Create and promote environments with high sense of responsibility for product safety.
• Represent group of plants in front of the company product safety office.
