Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled General Accounting Senior Analyst within our Global Business Services (GBS). This role will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day processing of general accounting transactions ensuring accuracy in entries while compiling financial reports and analysis.

Accountabilities

• Supervise the general accounting team with 2-7 direct reports providing leadership mentorship and fostering a collaborative work environment to drive performance and professional development.

• Oversee daily financial data entry in the ERP system ensuring accuracy and completeness. Prepare and post journal entries and manage general ledger account reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.

• Lead the monthly quarterly and annual closing processes ensuring all financial activities are accurately captured. Prepare detailed financial data for management review and facilitate necessary adjustments.

• Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts providing insightful variance analysis and reports that deliver actionable insights for informed decision-making.

• Review and present financial reports to ensure compliance with accounting standards and local regulations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate financial data and streamline reporting processes.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the general accounting function ensuring alignment with the companys financial goals and risk management strategies.

• Develop ad-hoc reports and support special projects such as financial data analysis and process improvements

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

• Bachelors degree in finance accounting Business Administration or a related field

• 3-6 years of relevant experience with general accounting.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and generate reports.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines

Preferred:

• Masters degree in a relevant field or Chartered Accountant designation

Technical Skills and Knowledge

Essential:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

• Familiarity with Oracle ERP Suite and its related modules

• Familiarity with Hyperion Finance Management (HFM)

• Solid regional accounting knowledge (i.e. US GAAP and IFRS)

Languages

• Fluency in English and proficiency in Spanish both spoken and written is required.

• Portuguese is a plus.

Collaboration First Hybrid Work Arrangements:

This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate a collaboration first mindset which is the understanding that teams will work together in-person and colleagues should be flexible to adjust their hybrid days based on business needs.
