Overview

Role : Network Engineer responsible for design, implementation, and support of network technologies across the Sompo global landscape with a focus on security, Azure Cloud, and next generation connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy LAN / WAN network infrastructure.
• Provide 3rd level troubleshooting for all LAN / WAN alerts and issues.
• Maintain monitoring and reporting systems.
• Produce and maintain documentation related to all systems developed / deployed.
• Perform on-call duty for non-business hours support as per shift assignments.
• Handle administrative tasks pertaining to time entry and status reporting.
• Configure and install network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
• Adhere to configuration and change management policies for network changes.
• Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures with the security team.
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
• Open for 24x7 availability.
• Conduct technical trainings for internal resources.
