We are looking for a Tooling Project Maker (Stamping Dies):
Zaragoza, Spain (open to candidates based in Mexico – work visa provided)
We are currently looking for a Tooling Project Maker to join the team of one of our clients in the automotive sector, based in Zaragoza (Spain).
This role is ideal for professionals with a background in toolmaking (stamping dies) who are looking to move into a more coordination and project-oriented position , combining technical knowledge with planning and supplier management.
The position involves a mix of office-based work (30–40%) and coordination activities , focusing on the follow-up and progress of stamping dies , without direct hands-on intervention (no machining, welding, or manual adjustments).
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor the development and evolution of stamping dies across different project phases.
- Act as a technical interface , ensuring proper communication of product changes and required die modifications.
- Follow up with tooling suppliers , ensuring compliance with quality standards, timing, and project milestones .
- Ensure availability of presses and production lines , organizing resources and coordinating activities accordingly.
- Oversee the overall progress of assigned project families , ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.
- Participate in die trials and validation phases from a coordination and follow-up perspective.
- Prepare and manage technical documentation, reports, and project updates .
- Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure smooth industrialization.
Requirements
- Technical background in Toolmaking, Mechanical Manufacturing, or similar .
- Minimum 3 years of experience in stamping dies , ideally in automotive environments.
- Solid understanding of die manufacturing and validation processes (hands-on experience is valued, but this role is not operational).
- Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional teams .
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) for reporting and coordination tasks.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Availability to relocate to Zaragoza (Spain) .
