The Role

Are you passionate about leading mission‑critical services, working with core technologies, and ensuring excellence in Mainframe service delivery? This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Delivery Management Lead – Mainframe, where you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality, reliable IT services within a well‑defined contractual framework.

In this highly customer‑focused role, you will be responsible for end‑to‑end delivery of Mainframe services, ensuring operational stability, high availability, and strong alignment with the customer’s business needs. You will leverage your deep technical expertise in Mainframe platforms to proactively manage risks, propose improvements, and ensure uninterrupted service continuity.

As the delivery lead, you will inspire and guide multidisciplinary technical teams—including Mainframe engineers, system administrators, subject matter experts, and support personnel—to deliver efficient, reliable services aligned with agreed SLAs. You will work closely with the Delivery Partner and the customer, becoming an integrated part of the account structure and building long‑term relationships based on trust and performance.

You will be accountable for both the technical leadership and operational management of the Mainframe services, including oversight of incidents, problems, changes, and escalations. Your expertise will be essential in driving root cause analysis (RCA), remediation plans, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring the stability and reliability of critical systems.

In addition, you will collaborate with architects, SRE teams, and other technical leaders to co‑design, implement, and maintain resilient, scalable, and future‑ready Mainframe solutions. Your ability to combine strategic vision, operational leadership, and deep technical knowledge will directly impact customer satisfaction and business success.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience leading IT service delivery teams in enterprise environments

• Proven experience managing Mainframe platforms and mission‑critical environments (, z/OS, mainframe operations)

• Strong background in Incident, Problem, and Change Management, including RCA

• Experience managing SLAs, KPIs, escalations, and customer expectations

• Ability to work closely with Delivery Partners and cross‑functional technical teams (including SREs)

• Strong customer‑facing skills with direct and ongoing client interaction

• Proven people leadership skills, fostering team performance and development

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or Six Sigma

• Exposure to automation, AIOps, or continuous improvement initiatives
