Software Engineering Intern, 2026 (Spanish, English)
This internship is intended for students of Computer Science or a related technical field. To be eligible for this program, candidates must have an expected graduation date between December 2026 and February 2027 and be available to work 30 hours per week in hybrid mode for 14-15 weeks, starting in September.
Requirements
- Located in Mexico City for the duration of the internship program.
- English proficiency required.
Eligibility
- Only applications of candidates with Mexican citizenship will be evaluated for this role.
- Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Computer Science or related technical field at a university in Mexico with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and February 2027.
- Ability to communicate in Spanish and English fluently to engage with internal project stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications
- Experience in tech internships or working in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design (e.g. research assistant, teaching assistant, personal projects).
- Ability to manipulate code to improve system availability and latency and optimize code for stability, functionality and scalability for a segment of Google's infrastructure, service area, or within a technology domain (e.g. crawling, search, troubleshooting).
- Available for a 30 hour/week hybrid internship from September to December 2026, based in Mexico City.
Responsibilities
- Develop scripts to automate routine tasks.
- Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution to effectively solve issues.
- Apply knowledge gained in computer science courses to real world challenges.
- Create and support a productive and innovative team including working with peers, managers, and teams.
