We are looking for a proven and visionary Enterprise Architect to take on a leadership role in our E-commerce domain as a key member of our Enterprise Architecture Center of Excellence. In this role, you will shape the strategy and architecture of our digital commerce platforms while driving cross-functional collaboration, leading teams, and influencing stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the strategic architectural vision for the eCommerce domain, ensuring alignment with overarching business goals and technological opportunities
- Lead the solution architecture team and mentor senior developers, fostering a high-performance culture focused on innovation and accountability
- Collaborate with senior business leaders and stakeholders to identify and prioritize strategic features and capabilities required for the eCommerce platform / stores
- Partner with engineering leadership to guide the successful design, development, and deployment of new features and capabilities in the eCommerce platform / stores
- Oversee the creation of complex and scalable architecture designs, ensuring alignment with inputs from the Enterprise Architect and adherence to best practices and standards
- Translate multi-faceted, high-level business requirements into actionable and detailed technical backlogs for the eCommerce engineering and solution architecture teams
- Provide governance and guidance to engineering teams managing diverse enterprise components to achieve seamless integration and system optimization
- Build and sustain strategic partnerships with key business stakeholders, ensuring technical deliverables align with evolving business strategies and objectives
- Analyze, optimize, and continuously evolve the eCommerce architecture to support and enhance business KPIs, drive measurable outcomes, and ensure alignment with future state architecture
- Drive effective collaboration in a complex multi-vendor environment, delivering comprehensive, cohesive architectural solutions while managing competing priorities
- Stay informed on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, proactively integrating them into architectural strategies and recommendations
Requirements
Substantial Enterprise Architecture experience in the eCommerce domain (10+ years), with a track record of leading complex projects and cross-functional teamsAt least 2 years of experience as an ArchitectDeep understanding of eCommerce platforms such as SAP Hybris, SAP Commerce Cloud, BigCommerce, or Commercetools, including integration with broader enterprise systemsExpertise in eliciting and interpreting business requirements, understanding business KPIs, and converting them into strategic architecture solutions and actionable plansAdvanced knowledge of core enterprise landscapes, integrations, and cross-platform dependencies, ensuring seamless interoperabilityProven ability to manage and mentor cross-functional teams while leading solution architecture in high-stakes environmentsExtensive experience working in a multi-vendor ecosystem to execute collaborative solutions at scaleDemonstrated ability to influence and manage relationships with senior business stakeholders, aligning architectural strategies with executive-level goalsA results-oriented mindset with a focus on optimizing system architecture to enable business growth and measurable impactSolid understanding of agile methodologies, system development lifecycle, and architectural frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, SAFe, or similar)Exceptional communication skills (both written and spoken) with proficiency in stakeholder management and technical documentation, demonstrating fluency in English at a minimum of C1 levelWe offer
