SAP Cloud Architect

Overview

CAA (Cloud Architect Advisory) – SAP Cloud Architect position elevated as per career progression for SAP Basis consultants. The Architect’s primary role is to plan / design and guide customers about their SAP landscape, with this role also expected to guide customers about their landscape on the SAP RISE Platform.

SAP RISE Platform offers latest SAP technologies with options for the customer to select their own hyperscaler (AWS, Azure or GCP). The CAA team works closely with the SAP presales team to understand customer requirements and create the to-be landscape architecture / design based on SAP product / infrastructure selection. This is a customer-facing role that requires joining meetings, answering technical queries, and presenting assessments. This role is not hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Review Bill Of Material for technical accuracy to avoid obsolete products during landscape design.
• Provide feedback to Sales on Bill Of Material to confirm product / version availability for the to-be build.
• Conduct technical validation of customer landscape to confirm product version / build viability.
• Analyze Early Watch Reports and technical data to validate hardware sizing.
• Collaborate with Sales on architecture and landscape (to-be) definitions.
• Size the to-be landscape for migrations.
• Prepare technical assessments and conduct technical assessments with customers to discuss the to-be landscape.
• Lead workshops with customers on topics such as networking, high availability concepts, and RACI reviews.
• Post-signature : support onboarding questions and provide delivery-related information during the sales cycle.
• Turnover to delivery with key items during the sales cycle and address delivery-specific questions.
