Responsibilities
- Handle, receive, and identify materials across the UMD warehouses with proper traceability of raw materials, in-process materials, stored items, and finished products prior to delivery to customers.
- Ensure raw materials are used according to FIFO; segregate and manage obsolete materials correctly.
- Ensure correct shipping, palletization, and handling of finished goods to the sterilization site.
- Perform inventories in production and warehouse; communicate stock levels to BUID.
- Oversee indirect budget of the accounts used by Warehouse and Import / Export; follow up on corrective actions, investigations, and implementation.
- Conduct cycle counts of the different warehouses and implement cleaning routines.
- Attend audits from customers and authorities; ensure handling and requirements of indirect materials comply with procedures and production requirements.
- Follow, develop, and act according to the Quality Assurance System based on ISO 13485 and FDA CGMP regulations.
- Secure cost-effective imports and exports, obtaining necessary permissions and authorizations to minimize duties and broker fees; coordinate with Mexican and American Custom Brokers for cross-border movement of materials and finished goods.
- Prepare audits in foreign trade for SHCP and external audits to avoid infractions or penalties.
- Ensure transport providers meet conditions to prevent material damage; manage temporary returns of merchandise, production waste, and related transport and confinement per applicable law.
- Support and update the inventory system as required (attachment 24 of the law).
- Provide and coordinate information for imports / exports with BUD or UMD personnel as needed.
- Maintain procedures, formats and work instructions according to regulatory requirements; develop internal audits and supplier audits based on OEA requirements; follow up corrective actions for certifications like OEA and IVA & IEPS.
- Ensure invoicing for services is in accordance with annual service agreements; present annual reports to relevant government agencies; monitor TIBs closure with US authorities.
- Coordinate warehouse and Import / Export movements to optimize material flow and prevent trailer congestion and delays.
- Ensure monthly reporting of Attachment 31 in the SCCCyG; secure timely entry of COFEPRIS permits as applied to each product; comply with company quality policy.
Requirements
University degree required.Advanced English level.Minimum 5 years experience in International Commerce.Experience handling the Harmonized Tariff Schedule.Knowledge of custom law and regulations; international commerce law and regulations.Familiarity with free trade agreements with USA and Europe.Familiarity with the Fiscal Federal Code and FDA regulations.MRP system experience; inventory and warehousing experience; software utilization knowledge.Beware of scams online or from individuals claiming to represent Convatec.A formal recruitment process is required for all opportunities prior to any offer of employment.
