Head of Finance / Financial Analyst

Location : Lerma / Mexico City area (face-to-face weekly preferred)

Languages : Spanish & English (fluent, written and spoken)

Travel : Occasional domestic / international travel as needed

About The Role

This role will support the financial oversight and analysis for a portfolio of companies, including real estate development, global meat trading, and livestock trading / consulting. The candidate will work closely with leadership in Mexico and the U.S., helping drive financial planning, analysis, reporting, and strategy across multiple jurisdictions (Mexico / USA / Canada).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across multiple business units
• Prepare monthly / quarterly financial reports, variance analyses, and KPI tracking
• Perform detailed financial modeling (e.g. scenario analysis, profitability analyses, cash flow forecasting)
• Support strategic planning (e.g. new investments, land development, trading deals)
• Monitor and analyze financial performance across entities, identifying opportunities for cost optimization, margin improvement, and risk mitigation
• Collaborate closely with operations, trading, logistics, and real estate teams to ensure alignment of financial metrics and business objectives
• Assist with consolidation of financials across entities and prepare management dashboards
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal teams as needed
• Ensure compliance with local GAAP and cross-border tax / regulatory / reporting requirements (Mexico, U.S., Canada)
• Ad hoc financial analysis and special projects (e.g. new deal assessments, capital allocation, currency exposure)
• Support integration of financial systems, ERP improvements, and process optimization
