The purpose of the position is to execute all direct, Indirect, TP and Tax Accounting, reporting and other compliance activities and reporting required activities. A main objective to assure streamline and compliant tax processes as well as timely and compliant filing of tax returns. Your ‘day to day’ :

  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement with regard to the Tax Operation function for the local market.
  • Execute best in class / efficient operational Tax processes for Tax reporting, Tax provision, transfer pricing, indirect and direct tax compliance. Specifically
  • Build and be part of a strong team of tax experts and strong cross-functional relationships in the local market across the business (e.g., Accounting, Treasury, Legal, and Operations). Help the company understand how all the pieces fit together.
  • Be up to date with relevant legislation to manage effectively the local market tax positions, tax audits, tax litigation and communication with Fiscal Authorities.
  • Ensure and execute timely and accurate filing of all tax filings obligations in the local market. Ensure timely payment and / or refund of all tax obligations.
  • Advisory and trainings provided to respective teams in the organization in the tax area to assure proper tax risk mitigation.
  • Other duties as required Who we’re looking for :
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in indirect tax matters, preferably in tobacco products or equivalent experience
  • Fluent in English (spoken and writing skills)
  • Knowledge of the Mexico taxation is preferred.
  • Experience with advanced administrative functions, including all of MS Office, specifically advanced Excel and preferred MS SharePoint.
  • Basic accounting knowledge.
  • Cultural savvy Experience in Process optimization Tax Consultancy background preferred.
