Job Role Overview
A sourcing specialist plays a pivotal role in procuring goods and services for an organization, working closely with suppliers to identify and resolve potential issues. This position offers the opportunity to learn and grow within a global procurement team.
Main Responsibilities :
- Investigate and resolve payment problems, leveraging digital tools to streamline processes
- Oversee periodic pricing updates from suppliers for entry into the company's system
- Foster relationships with internal stakeholders and collaborate with the Global Procurement Operations Center (GPOC)
- Create and maintain purchasing documents in the company's systems
- Manage Vendor Master : create, maintain, and approve suppliers in the company's systems
- Analyze cost savings and DPO opportunities
- Select suppliers through RFP and evaluation processes
- Negotiate with suppliers on price, terms, conditions, MOQ, lead-times, and service levels
- Manage e-Sourcing and catalog management
- Source and manage categories of spend for tail subcategories
- Work closely with leadership to develop and implement sourcing strategies
- Provide analysis and strategy for competitive procurement, research, sourcing, risk mitigation, and contract management
Requirements :
Project management experience is beneficialBachelor's degree preferredMinimum 2 years of tactical and analytical support experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, or comparable disciplinesFluent spoken and written EnglishExperience in the chemical industry is advantageous but not requiredStrong systems skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPointExperience in an Enterprise Resource Planning System, such as SAP R3 / S4, is essentialTeamwork and collaboration skills, with a self-starter mindsetAbility to analyze, develop, and transfer internal demands into beneficial contract solutionsStrong problem-solving capabilityExcellent communication skillsGood commercial negotiatorService-oriented mindset, with a desire to ensure timely responses to clients' needsDesire and aptitude to develop and advance in the professional procurement functionThe organization operates under principles of equality and diversity, ensuring that talent is what matters most.
