Would you like to lead a team that works with the most exciting startups and the most important startup organizations in Mexico? Do you have a passion to help tech startups succeed?

AWS is seeking a Senior Sales Manager to lead a team of account managers that cover Mexico. In this role you will be responsible for leading a team of Account Managers who champion and work alongside Mexico’s best tech startups. You will work closely with the startup ecosystem as well as internal teams to define the strategy that ensures that Mexico’s leading founders are choosing to build and scale their startups on AWS.

In this role, you will create and implement long-term strategies working backwards from startup customer needs, earning their trust and helping to accelerate and expand our startup business in Mexico. You will work closely with other senior internal stakeholders across solutions architects, business development, marketing, product, partners, and support teams to build programs, mechanisms and go-to-market approaches that ensure startups choose AWS as their cloud platform and business partner. You will also be part of the Latin America leadership team that works together to create strategies and programs for all of LATAM.

This position offers the opportunity to combine your passion for and knowledge of startups with your experience building and leading teams within one of the world’s leading and pioneering cloud and technology companies. In addition to possessing senior management experience leading high performing sales team, the ideal candidate is creative and inventive, enjoys solving complex problems on behalf of startup customers, and working effectively with cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed organization while thriving in a fast-paced setting that is constantly evolving.

Key job responsibilities

  • Define and execute strategies to drive adoption of AWS services in startup customers.
  • Lead a high performing, diverse team in Mexico.
  • Collaborate and partner with other functions (Business Development, marketing, solutions architects) to execute plans and programs.
  • Be the key spokesperson to share AWS value proposition in the Mexian startup ecosystem as a presenter at events, meetings and with interviews with the press.
  • Build and maintain relationships with the top founders, investors, accelerators, and incubators in Mexico.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of technology related sales, business development or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of sales management experience
  • Experience in management of large, complex enterprise accounts or equivalent
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
