As a Lead Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in developing and deploying data-driven solutions that optimize our manufacturing processes, enhance operational efficiency, and support strategic decision-making. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze complex datasets, build predictive models, and implement scalable data solutions. Beyond technical contributions, you will also take on a hands-on leadership role—building AI and ML models, mentoring team members, guiding technical architecture, and fostering collaboration across the business.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze large datasets and derive actionable insights.
• Design, develop, and deploy data models and algorithms primarily using Databricks, and also Microsoft Azure tools such as Azure ML, and Synapse Analytics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and operations, to understand business challenges and develop data-driven solutions.
• Fine tune and distill LLM models for Vertical AI product use cases.
• Implement predictive and prescriptive analytics models to optimize various parts of company operations, such as production, supply chain, and logistics.
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Visualize data insights using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and the transportation and logistics industry to ensure best practices are implemented.
• Provide technical leadership, setting standards for modeling, data quality, and best practices.
• Mentor and coach junior data scientists, fostering professional growth and encouraging knowledge sharing.
• Lead data projects end-to-end, including scoping, planning, and delivery.
• Drive alignment between business and technical stakeholders, ensuring data initiatives support strategic priorities.
