Responsibilities

• Solution Architecture : Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define technical requirements and design scalable and high-performance solutions for OTT applications. Ensure that the architecture aligns with business objectives and adheres to industry best practices.
• Frontend and Backend Development : Lead the development of frontend and backend components for OTT applications across various platforms, primarily Android and including Smart TV (using HTML TV apps), React JS, Node JS, PHP for TV development (webOS, Zeasn, Vidaa, Samsung, LG, Tizen OS, NetRange), and Roku.
• API Integration : Work closely with backend developers to design and integrate APIs, enabling seamless communication between frontend and backend systems.
• CMS and SMS Integration : Integrate Content Management Systems (CMS) to manage content delivery and Subscriber Management Systems (SMS) for user authentication and management in OTT applications.
• Consumption of REST Services : Develop frontend components to consume RESTful services for data retrieval and updates. Handle error responses, retries, and caching mechanisms for optimized data exchange.
• Algorithms and Data Structures : Apply strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures to optimize application performance and efficiency.
• Client Communication : Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical insights, and present architectural proposals.
• Frameworks and Libraries : Utilize relevant frameworks and libraries to expedite development while maintaining code quality and best practices.
• Streaming Technologies : Implement and configure streaming technologies and players for video and audio content delivery. Ensure adaptive streaming and DRM support for secure content distribution.
• Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI / CD) : Implement and maintain CI / CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring a smooth development lifecycle.
• Certifications and App Store Upload : Stay updated with certifications from Google and other OEMs and ensure adherence to platform-specific guidelines. Facilitate the successful upload of applications to Play Store, App Store, and other relevant platforms.
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution : Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, working closely with development and QA teams to address defects and ensure application stability.
• Research and Innovation : Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and provide insights for continuous improvement.
• Must be proficient in English & Spanish
