For more information visit part of the Advanced Manufacturing team, the Electrical Test Engineer will support PCBA and Systems manufacturing by working closely with contract manufacturers, manufacturing engineering, design engineering, and supply chain.

This role will support new product introductions, test process design, part quality issue investigation and resolution, factory transitions, and component qualification.

This position will cover electrical and electro-mechanical components with a heavy emphasis on PCBA manufacturing, test (ICT and Functional), quality, and qualification to assure an acceptable part quality.

This primary Manufacturing Test Engineering position will cover mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical components with a heavy emphasis on PCBA / Systems manufacturing, test, quality, and qualification to assure an acceptable part quality for box build and PCBA parts for pilot and production builds at Contract Manufacturers.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for tests, qualification, and failure analysis of PCBAs and System Integration at CM.Install, Debug and Sustain In-Circuit Test and Flying Probe Test programs.Develop, Debug and Deploy Functional Tests for PCBA'sDebug of PCBAs and electronics subassemblies to the component levelWork with Contract Manufacturer and Engineering to debug / resolve PCBA IssuesWork with Quality and Process Engineering to streamline and improve manufacturing processes at CM.Responsible for overseeing PCBA production at a Contract Manufacturer.Launch new PCBAs at Contract ManufacturerDebug problems working with engineering, cross functional team members and suppliers.Work with Engineering Team to design and launch new PCBA'sDesign auxiliary PCBAs to support test execution.Documenting PCBA's verification and validation test plans.Travel required depending upon business needs.Required Education And ExperienceBachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field and 5+ years relevant experience.Working experience in In-Circuit Test, Flying Probe, Automated Optical Inspection and general test equipment and instrumentation.Systems engineering knowledge and working experience.Experience in network communication systems and hardware.Experience in debugging off-the-shelf hardware as well as internal developed equipment.Experience setting up / evaluating / supporting systems including motherboards, CPU's, Memory, Interface cards, BIOS configurations.Fluent in English along with excellent communication skills, written and verbalProficient with MS Office Tools / Jira / Confluence.Work primarily in office / lab and Contract Manufacturer Facilities.Must be self-motivatedDesired ExperienceWorking experience with Tape Library / Robotics / Solid-State Storage Technology (e.g., SSD, NVMe, NAND Flash, RAID, etc.)In-Circuit Test and Flying Probe Test Program and HW Development.Software Programming Skills (C, C++, C#, Python, etc.)Linux / Unix experience including test script generation and problem debugging on Linux based systems.Capable of interfacing with vendors in a professional manner and in accordance with Quantum's values and business interests.Support PCBA product BOM (build of materials) release / management via Agile database.Experience with AC Power and thermal measurement toolsQuantum provides a benefit package that includes Major Medical, Dental, and Vision healthcare coverage that is company paid for employee and dependents.
