QA Test lead

We are currently seeking a QA Test lead to join our team in GDL, Jalisco (MX-JAL), Mexico (MX).

Responsibilities

• Manual Lead Expectations
• Lead, mentor, and support Quality Assurance staff and testing resources
• Establish and enforce Best Practices, Policies and Procedures, and Standards
• Lead by example and approach conflict constructively
• Identify problems and actively participate in finding solutions
• Be a leader in change and collect Key Performance Indicator (KPI) information for leadership (weekly)
• Assist team members with questions as first line of support, escalating to management as needed
• Lead stand-up and team meetings as requested by manager
• Participate in Quality Assurance Department meetings and contribute to QA Ops & strategy discussions
• Evaluate and recommend products and / or tools for quality assurance testing
• Review QA documentation and provide feedback
• Projects
• Support team members at a high level
• Attend project meetings as a point of escalation and as needed
• Assist with overall testing strategy, estimates, and test plans as needed
• Review a subset of project artifacts (documents, bugs, test cases, etc.) and provide feedback
• Perform Phase Gate Reviews
• Production Support Tickets
• Assist team members by setting up area / iteration paths
• Support team members at a high level
• Attend meetings as a point of escalation and as needed
• Assist the team with the overall testing strategy for changes
• Assist with the test plan (if required)
• Review subset of change artifacts (documents, bugs, test cases, etc.) and provide feedback
• Master Test Case Repository (MTCR)
• Monitor and update as needed
• Automation Lead Expectations
• Coding Standards
• Keep automation framework current
• Create reusable functions
• Create efficiencies for the automation team
• Ensure that automation code meets BCBSLA coding standards
• Perform code reviews
• Tool Maintenance
• Keeps current toolsets to current versions
• Review toolset for continued viability and recommend tool updates / changes
• Troubleshoot tool issues with the automation team
• Maintain lab environments
• Integrate and enhance test management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps) to support automation efforts
• Automation Maintenance
• Review and maintain automated suites
• Provide guidance / design on automation solutions
• Direct the work of the automation team
• Analyze projects for automation opportunities
• Assist in prioritizing efforts
• Contribute to setting the automation goals for the department
• Create an automation strategy on larger projects
