IT Operations Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Cloud Operations team as an IT Operations Specialist.
This role is responsible for maintaining the integrity, efficiency, and security of our cloud infrastructure. You will perform advanced technical tasks, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to process improvements that enhance our operational effectiveness.
- Perform routine and complex maintenance tasks on cloud equipment, including servers, storage systems, and network devices.
- Troubleshoot hardware and network issues, leveraging diagnostic tools and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents efficiently.
- Monitor system performance using DCIM tools and respond promptly to alerts, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
- Implement and adhere to policies and procedures, including change management, incident management, and security protocols.
- Participate in cloud operation projects, such as equipment installations, migrations, and upgrades, ensuring they are completed within defined timelines and quality standards.
- Support capacity planning by tracking resource utilization.
- Document all activities thoroughly and accurately, maintaining clear and up-to-date records in compliance with audit requirements.
- Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to coordinate repairs, replacements, or upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime and effective communication.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, following established contingency plans.
To succeed in this role, you will need :
Key Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.Able to communicate fluently in English.At least 3 years of hands-on experience as an IT Technician or in a related IT operations role.Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, networking (Cisco, Juniper), and power / cooling systems.Proficient in troubleshooting techniques for hardware and network issues.Familiarity with DCIM software and monitoring tools.Able to work on-site in Queretaro, Mexico 100% of the time.Flexibility to work off-hours, weekends, or be on-call as part of a rotation schedule.Must hold Mexican citizenship.Preferred Qualifications
Additonal technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+) are a plus.Strong communication skills and attention to detail.Knowledge of ITIL processes and IT service management best practices.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.Able to communicate in both English and Spanish.
