We are seeking a Banker / Relationship Manager to lead origination efforts and oversee the commercial relationships within a portfolio of financial institution clients in Mexico. This role involves working with major economic groups based in Mexico, as well as global clients with an active presence in the country, focusing on banks, pension funds, insurance companies, and asset management funds.
As the primary contact for both clients and Natixis internally, you will focus on strategic and commercial idea origination, fostering content-driven and balance sheet-light solutions (Capital, Liquidity, ALM). Investment Banking (CIB) across Global Trade, Investment Banking, and Global Markets.
Key areas of focus will include Global Markets (FX, Rates, G10, Forwards, Swaps, Repos, Sovereign Flow, Synthetic Finance), Global Trade (Confirming, SBLCs, Trade Finance), Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Term Financing, Sustainable Linked Loans, and Time Deposits. You will represent all business requests within Natixis for these financial institutions in Mexico, presenting balance sheet asks, credit reviews, and strategic plans to management while collaborating with the Latin America Platform in New York and the Senior Country Manager in Mexico.
Working closely with the Senior Country Manager in Mexico, you will lead efforts to upgrade strategic dialogues with existing clients and identify potential new clients, emphasizing the importance of fostering existing relationships and driving new business through seamless partnerships with Global Trade, Investment Banking, and Global Markets at both the Americas platform level and globally with other Natixis colleagues and overseas offices.
Collaborate with Natixis management to drive new initiatives and identify reverse inquiries to pursue business opportunities.
Originate new business opportunities by closely working with clients' management teams to craft tailored solutions that meet their objectives; create ongoing dialogues that lead to revenue growth in Natixis's key areas of competency, including Global Markets, Global Trade, DCM, and Coverage (Plain Vanilla Financing).
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
~5+ years of experience in Investment Banking and / or Global Markets within the financial sector.
~ Proven ability to navigate complex cross-border situations, bridging local and global constructs.
~ Extensive network of industry and client contacts across the sector, capital markets, and treasury.
~ Fluency in Spanish and proficiency in English, both written and verbal ; proficiency in French is a plus.
~ Familiarity with Asset and Liability Management (ALM) issues faced by banks, along with a comprehensive understanding of industry trends, financing needs, and investment strategies for asset managers.
~ Outstanding risk mindset and credit analysis background.
~ Comfortable functioning independently and as part of a team, while meeting stringent deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
~ Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
