About the role

As a Senior Backend Platform Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining the core components and libraries that power our robust, scalable software platform. Your work will directly impact the efficiency, reliability, and growth of our technology, supporting both internal teams and millions of end users. You’ll have the opportunity to drive innovation, set best practices, and help shape the future of Zillow’s platform.

You Will Get To :

• Implement new features and enhance existing functionalities to optimize platform performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
• Build and maintain internal tools that empower developer productivity.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle : code reviews, testing, monitoring, and deployment.
• Ensure the platform supports multiple applications and brands through robust, maintainable solutions.
• Contribute to and help define best practices for systems design, testing, and code quality.
• Continuously learn about the business and share your ideas for improvement.
• Support a culture of innovation, collaboration, and inclusivity.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.
