Indirect Tax Specialist [Solo Quedan 24h]...

This role is focused on managing indirect tax obligations in the US and Mexico, ensuring compliance with internal policies.

As a member of our service team supporting the US indirect tax team, this position will involve exposure to various US taxes, including Sales & Use Tax, Beverage Taxes, Bottle Deposits, Business License renewals, Unclaimed Property, etc.

Key Responsibilities :

• Maintain accurate general ledger accounts for indirect taxes, resolve discrepancies, and document findings.
• Conduct accounting functions such as preparing / posting journal entries, managing credit notes, creating purchase orders, managing annual reports, reviewing / approving bottle deposit payments, etc.
• Manage local business / sales tax license compliance, prepare renewal statements, manage applicable payments / fees, etc.
• Review requests for exemption certificates for vendors related to purchases, perform taxability research on purchasing transactions.
• Assist in indirect tax audits by providing documentation and analysis to tax authorities, covering Sales & Use Tax, Unclaimed Property, Bottle Deposit, Property Taxes, etc.
• Support special projects as requested.
• Pose improvements to tax processes and help automate reports.
