- This is What you Will Do in This Role :
- Participate in the design of semi-complex systems that integrate hardware and software. + Own hardware and software design and application for subsystems or specific control areas for large and small projects
- Provide support in semi-complex material specification, schematic preparation, bill-of-materials development, and appropriate follow-up.
- Have knowledge of project budgets, schedules, and risks. Works to meet deadlines and deliverables, achieve budget, and manage risk with team leads.
- Participate in recommending ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction.
- Perform important areas of standard professional level work that typically require processing and interpreting more complex, less clearly defined issues.
- Refer complex or unusual problems to others with more experience in the field of work.
- Perform site-audits at initiation of project to gather site information and confirm scope.
- Perform on-site commissioning activities independently or as part of a team. + Review & report feedback of site readiness Audits (commissioning checklist / instructions). + Attend meetings before travel with site lead / project manager. + Review Commissioning Plan and Schedule. + Coordinate with field engineering teams, mechanical & controls, for project execution.
- Identify and resolve readily identifiable, clearly defined problems.
- Seek-out growth and knowledge in a specific technical area.
- Mentor and share knowledge with less experienced engineers.
- Provides guidance to installation teams.
- Follow current safety best practices while on-site and aware of current safety design practices.
- What We Are Looking For :
- BS / BA in electrical engineering or advanced degree.
- 2-4 years of successful experience in related field.
- Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments.
- Demonstrates knowledge of organization's business practices and issues.
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Proficient in either Rockwell or Siemens PLCs.
- Knowledgeable on AC drives, both open & closed loop.
- Experience in Ethernet IP network design and machine safety a plus.
