Temporary position (6 months)
As a Contractor Field Engineer with Target, you will provide services that support vendors in delivering safe and quality owned brand products, leveraging your expertise in product compliance, quality & regulatory requirements. Your service will focus on proactive and preventive quality assurance and control, delivering end-to-end results through different programs.
Responsibilities
- Validate factories operate with sound quality processes and manufacturing capabilities before producing for Target.
- Partner to ensure program expectations and quality assurance requirements are understood prior to production starting.
- Validate that all products meet safety and regulatory requirements and Target performance standards.
- Elevate factory performance through technical support to drive continuous improvement of manufacturing and quality processes.
- Proactively partner with Responsible Sourcing Team on potential non-compliance issues or support them on resolution.
- Proactively provide support with product sample review as applicable.
- Partner with Sourcing team to accurately report verification of factory production processes (material status, fabric, cutting, etc.).
- Monitor and follow up on production progress to ensure timelines, quality standards, and order requirements are fulfilled. Lead solving production-related issues while keeping key stakeholders up to date (this may include fabric mill, printing, etc.) as needed.
Experience required
3+ years’ experienceBackground in manufacturing, quality and technical / engineering perspectiveExperience in industry (compliance / manufacturing, quality management, raw material and product)Knowledge of quality tools RCA / Fishbone / Lean / Six Sigma / Industrial EngineeringEffective communication skills and strong interpersonal skillsCollaborative focus and ability to work successfully across functional areasAbility to work on site as business requiresLanguage : fluent in English and local languageProficient in software data & analytics and statistical tools, including Microsoft Windows and Office applicationsAvailability to travel 80% of the timeDesired requirements
Lean Six Sigma certification, ISO 9001 Auditor, Certified Quality EngineerBackground as a Quality Supervisor or Operations Auditor preferredSeniority level
