Descripción del trabajoProficiency with software such as HEC programs, XP-SWMM, EPA SWMM, etc. Experience in analysis and design of flood damage reduction and mitigation projects, including flood warning systems. Strong technical skills in water resources engineering. Flexibility to manage analyses related to flood mitigation and warning systems. Excellent communication and organizational skills, especially in technical writing. Experience in developing construction documents, plans, and specifications. Local experience is a plus. Knowledge of GIS is advantageous. BSc or MSc in Civil Engineering with emphasis on hydrology, hydraulics, or water resources. Must be bilingual in English and Spanish. Must hold a professional license. Minimum 8 years of relevant project experience nationally. Proven ability to grow a water resources practice. Understanding of flood warning and forecasting system capabilities and limitations. Knowledge of local design codes and standards. Existing client network is a plus. US visa is a plus. Responsibilities
- Utilize sound technical knowledge, especially in water resources engineering analysis and design.
- Collaborate with the Water Resources Engineering (WRE) team to identify and pursue water resource opportunities.
- Potential to lead a team of engineers and technicians on H&H related projects.
- Develop flood warning and flood forecasting as a specialized area within Walter P Moore’s WRE group.
- Build a national network of clients and consultant alliances to strengthen the WRE group.
