Workplace Integration (WPI) Lead – Saltillo, Coahuila, México

Position Overview
As the Workplace Integration (WPI) Lead, you will manage the integration and readiness of production workstations ahead of a new model launch. You will ensure ergonomic safety, material flow efficiency, and technical standards are met—overseeing the process from CAD layout planning to final installation and approval.
Core Responsibilities
- Project Management : Lead the full cycle—from initial CAD layout proposals through final approvals and physical installation on the plant floor.
- Material Display & Flow : Design safe and efficient material display setups for each workstation, operating within safety and ergonomic guidelines.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Coordinate closely with industrial engineering, containerization, packaging, and ergonomics teams to align workstation integration and material handling.
- Documentation : Create and maintain Material Display Documents (MDDs), specifying equipment requirements for each workstation based on parts and packaging.
- Offline Sequencing / Kitting : Design and implement offline kitting or sequencing cells when main-line space is constrained.
- PFEP Maintenance : Manage the Plan For Every Part (PFEP) —including part number, description, weight, packaging, point-of-use, container, density, etc.—ensuring the data remains accurate and current.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Serve as the single point of contact in digital layout (“scroll”) meetings, presenting layouts, packaging, part numbers, and material display equipment for review and buyoff.
- Issue Tracking : Maintain a comprehensive Action Register to track and resolve integration issues in coordination with stakeholders (IE, Production, Safety, Ergonomics).
- Creative Integration Solutions : Innovate in system design by introducing changes in packaging, equipment, or facility design to accommodate dense workstation environments.
Required Qualifications
Experience : Minimum of 8 years in internal logistics engineering or a closely related field, especially involving workstation integration and new model launches.Communication Skills : Intermediate to advanced English; Spanish proficiency is a strong advantage given the Saltillo location.Technical Proficiency : Expertise in AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Access, and familiarity with logistics systems such as ODCICS2 (or comparable).Domain Expertise : Proven knowledge in workspace / warehouse layout design, ergonomic assessments, automation technologies, PFEP usage, and material display setups.Personal Attributes : Strong coordination, problem-solving, and project management skills, especially in dynamic environments with tight timelines.
