Job Title : Plant Quality Manager
About the Role :
We are seeking a seasoned and decisive leader to drive our quality operations, fostering a culture of quality excellence. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring products meet the highest standards and serving as the primary point of contact for all quality-related matters.
This leadership role entails authority to halt production or shipping processes if necessary to prevent non-conforming product from reaching customers, protecting our integrity and brand reputation.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage the entire quality function at the plant level, guiding the team to meet internal and external quality processes and procedures.
- Manage departmental resources to ensure the team has adequate capacity and capability to meet business needs and quality standards.
- Guide, coach, and hold the quality team accountable for their performance, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
- Set and manage departmental objectives and KPIs for the quality team, reporting on performance and identifying required actions to achieve targets.
- Lead plant activities to achieve excellence in VOC, Customer Scorecards, Cost of Poor Quality, and Warranty Management.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards, documentation, and procedures across manufacturing operations.
- Chair regular quality review meetings with representatives from appropriate departments to analyze metrics and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure all quality activities are conducted in compliance with established health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Serve as the first point of escalation for customer quality issues, acting as the primary liaison between the plant and the customer.
- Champion and drive a culture of continuous quality improvement across the plant.
- Oversee problem-solving activities, utilizing structured methodologies like the 8D process to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the Supplier Quality Assurance function to reduce the impact of non-conforming supplier materials on production quality.
- Oversee and support the deployment of core quality processes and tools.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Quality Control).Minimum 5 years of experience in quality management or a related field.Proven track record of driving quality improvements and reducing costs.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.Benefits :
