Your JobAs an Product NPI Engineer, you will serve as the essential link between our manufacturing site and multiple design centers to facilitate the seamless introduction of new products.
Your role encompasses analyzing, designing, costing, and evaluating the necessary tooling, machinery, and processes from prototype stages through to mass production release.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with quality, design, maintenance, testing, manufacturing, and planning teams to ensure new product launches meet schedule and quality standards, while maintaining adherence to the organization's quality management system.Our TeamYou will be part of the NPI team within the DSS division, a dynamic group responsible for driving innovation and operational excellence in new product introductions.
This team manages critical processes such as pre-production planning, project execution, quality assurance, and risk management to support business growth and customer satisfaction.What You Will DoAct as the primary point of contact between manufacturing and design centers to gather and follow up on new product information.Lead the analysis, design, costing, and evaluation of tools, machinery, and processes necessary for prototype and mass production readiness.Coordinate with cross-functional teams (quality, design, maintenance, testing, manufacturing, and planning) to meet stringent product launch timelines.Prepare and interpret Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical plans, specifications, and electronic diagrams to support manufacturing processes.Oversee pilot runs and validate tooling and equipment, ensuring compliance with good manufacturing practices.Manage tooling design and layout programs, including design qualification and supplier development.Support production lines during new product launches and transitions.Apply Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Core Tools to enhance product and process quality.Develop and release internal control documents including Visual Aids, Control Plans, and FMEAs.Utilize Lean Manufacturing techniques, Kaizen, 5S, and Poka-Yoke systems to drive continuous improvement.Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions (RAC, RDP, 8D).
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Electronic, Mechatronic, Physics, or Photonic Engineering.Minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing and / or Process Engineering with demonstrable NPI expertise.Proven ability to coordinate, execute, monitor, and solve problems in complex projects.Experience leading tooling design, layout programs, and supplier qualification.Knowledge and application of international quality standards such as ISO and TS.What Will Put You AheadExperience with Fiber Optic processes and related technologies.Familiarity with Die Attach, Wire Bonding, Optical Alignment equipment, and HLA processes.Proficiency in SAP and advanced computer tools (Microsoft Office suite, CAD software).
Strong command of APQP, Core Tools, and Poka-Yoke systems.Advanced English language skills (conversational level).
