We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role Business Continuity Risk Manager

Role Purpose :

This role is responsible for implementation of BCIM (Business Continuity Incident Management) program in the respective Global Service Centers (GSCs) within the Global Operations Structure. The jobholder is broadly responsible for overseeing programme Management in adherence to policy & supporting operating instructions, training, awareness, continuity readiness.

Main Activities

• Maintain a robust BCIM (Business Continuity Incident Management) Program for GSC Operations under the span with effective implementation of Operating Instruction and framework documents on continuity,
• Responsable of the Strategy of De-risking, recovery desking, BIA, contingency plans, exercising, etc.
• Promote Business resilience. Arrest concentration risk and mitigate concentration hot spots.
• Raise the profile of the department by engaging with key stakeholders to understand the challenges faced and anticipate emerging risks.
• To establish a robust contingency plan covering all functions migrated from a wide range of HSBC Group companies, ensuring the overall risk is minimized in the event of an incident having a major impact on the operating environment.
• Continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating instructions and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology. This will be achieved by ensuring all actions take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring. Also, by addressing any areas of concern in conjunction with line management and / or the appropriate department.
• Adherence to all internal controls including relevant operating instructions, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators is a key.
• Work as Incident Management lead and provide support as required.
• Mitigation of concentration risk through adherence to GSCs BCIM operating instruction and de-risking of existing concentration hot spots.
• Engagement with business service teams to provide functional support whenever / wherever required.
• Management Information Reporting on various regional / business dashboards.
