Overview

DevOps Engineer position at Peek. 100% remote team with a focus on infrastructure-as-code, accelerating development and deployment processes, increasing reliability, and scaling our platform as the company grows.

About The Team

We’re a small DevOps team supporting 50+ engineers, building a service-oriented architecture on Kubernetes and GCP. We own all aspects of the SDLC and practice SRE, continuous observability, and IaC. Security and compliance are integral to our workflows. The team is remote but highly organized to meet a fast-paced environment. Our primary business language is English, with strong communication as a core requirement.

About You

You are an experienced cloud engineer with at least 3+ years managing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and / or Amazon Web Services (AWS). You have hands-on experience operating large-scale, high-availability, asynchronous, distributed systems and deploying service-oriented architectures. You are skilled with infrastructure-as-code technologies (Terraform or Pulumi) and have hands-on Kubernetes production experience using Helm. You understand monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, or New Relic) and networking concepts (DNS, load balancing, TLS, VPCs, VPNs). You have experience with Git / GitHub, Jenkins, Codefresh, or ArgoCD, and can code in Python, TypeScript, or Go. You may have experience with data warehousing (BigQuery or Redshift) and security / compliance practices to meet SOC2 / PCI requirements. You are comfortable with serverless platforms (GCP Cloud Run / Cloud Functions) and enjoy mentoring others and sharing knowledge to strengthen the team.

  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including troubleshooting cluster issues.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or Pulumi).
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python for automation.
  • Experience with a major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and solid networking knowledge (VPCs, DNS, TLS, load balancing, VPNs).
  • Solid understanding of SDLC and modern CI / CD systems (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Codefresh, or ArgoCD).
  • Programming experience in Python, TypeScript, or Go. Experience with data warehouses (BigQuery or Redshift) is a plus.
  • Security-minded with awareness of SOC2 and PCI requirements, especially around PII.
  • Experience with serverless platforms (GCP Cloud Run, Cloud Functions) is desirable.
  • Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) extensively (95% of infrastructure).
  • Experience with Python, Ruby, or TypeScript.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and caching technologies like Fastly.
  • Experience with data warehouses such as Redshift and BigQuery.
  • Experience with serverless deployments across AWS / GCP.
