This position involves sourcing and procuring direct materials through an enterprise resource planning system. Key responsibilities include placing purchase orders in alignment with manufacturing requirements and sales orders.
A successful candidate will have the authority to verify exception messages and create or issue purchase orders. They will also communicate effectively with suppliers, foster strong relationships, and understand the intricacies of a purchase order.
The role requires running reports to transfer materials from distribution centers to manufacturing facilities using specific types of stock transfer orders. Achieving assigned objectives and comprehending the goals required to meet performance targets are essential.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration or industrial engineering, along with a minimum of three years' experience in purchasing or a related manufacturing role.
Essential skills and competencies include time management, negotiation, teamwork, ability to work under pressure, effective communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in enterprise software, personal computers, and Microsoft applications is also necessary.
