Purpose of Role

  • The role plays a pivotal role in driving project performance by leading cross‑functional activities that address complex technical and operational challenges. The role ensures that strategic priorities are advanced, particularly where there is a need for multi‑discipline coordination.
  • Success in this role depends on strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.

Critical Responsibilities (MAE / MATTE / HSES

  • Ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and Harbour Energy HSES Procedures.
  • Ethics and Compliance Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all activities and behaviours are carried out in accordance with Harbour Energy’s Ethics and Compliance Policies and Procedures, and to complete any compulsory compliance training as required.
  • Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence

  • Support the Project Manager in setting and communication strategic priorities and ensuring alignment across main project disciplines; Subsurface, Wells, Facilities, Procurement, HSES, Quality, Permitting, and supporting functions.
  • Drive integration between main project disciplines and ensure consistency in execution of engineering, procurement, construction and commission phase of the project.
  • Support the Project manager in the implementation for HSES and Quality policies and requirements.
  • Ensure integrated technical input to HSEs and regulatory compliance processes. Coordinate with HSES and quality to incorporate compliance checks into technical workflows.
  • Support the Project Manager in internal and external stakeholder management.
  • Drive discipline integration in the planning and execution of project stage gate and assurance process.
  • Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of key‑priority technical and multi‑discipline integration activities and deliverables.
  • Support the project procurement process to ensure consistency in technical and commercial input.
  • Drive implementation of lessons learned process and implementation across key project disciplines.
  • Translate technical needs into system requirements and vice versa.
  • Conduct data analysis and performance trends to generate insight and informed recommendations.
  • Drive problem resolution and ensure sustainable implementation of improvements.
  • Define and optimize organisational tools, workflows, and business processes.
  • Champion simplification and standardisation across operational and technical domains.
  • Lead implementation for engineering, construction and commissioning management systems.
  • Education

  • MsC Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
  • Professional Experience

  • Min 15 years of experience in offshore Oil & Gas major EPC projects.
  • Min 5 years in project integration or systems engineering management.
  • Previous roles should include major work‑package leader, engineering manager or project manager.
  • Technical Skills

  • Strong proven experience in project execution applying best practices and industry standard in project management methodologies.
  • Strong background in systems engineering and project management.
  • Strong multi‑discipline understanding : subsurface, drilling & wells, and facilities.
  • Experience with digital oilfield technologies and data platforms.
  • Offshore field experience is advantageous.
  • Non‑Technical Skills

  • Strong strategic thinking and delivery mindset, with the ability to move quickly from problem identification to implementation.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and capable of influencing at all levels.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
