The consulting Data Analyst plays a critical role in advancing the organization’s data-driven decision-making by supporting the development and optimization of reporting and data infrastructure. The role focuses on enhancing and maintaining the Power BI reporting environment, ensuring accuracy, security, and accessibility of data across the business. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with a problem-solving mindset, leveraging data to uncover opportunities and guide strategic decision-making.

📍 Location : Providencia, Guadalajara, Mexico

🗣️ Language : Bilingual (English & Spanish)

💼 Work Authorization : Must be legally authorized to work and currently residing in Mexico.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Power BI reporting stack, including report creation, dataset management, performance tuning, and governance.
  • Design, develop, and maintain SQL-based queries, views, and stored procedures to support analytics and reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into intuitive dashboards and reports.
  • Implement and follow data security and governance practices, ensuring compliance with company and client standards.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain data pipelines feeding Power BI.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to answer key business questions and provide insights to leadership.
  • Document processes, standards, and best practices for reporting and analytics.
  • Partner with IT, operations, and finance teams to align analytics solutions with business priorities.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI (dashboards, DAX, Power Query, dataset optimization).
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (SQL Server, Snowflake, Oracle).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform (SharePoint, OneDrive, Power Automate).
  • Understanding of data security practices (role-based access control, row-level security, governance frameworks).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical skills withthe ability to detect patterns, resolve inconsistencies, and translate technical findings into business insights.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience developing in QlikView with strong knowledge of Set Analysis.
  • Exposure to BI platforms such as Tableau and Looker.
  • Experience with cloud data environments (Azure, Snowflake, AWS, GCP).
  • Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools (Agile, JIRA, Asana).
  • Self-starter with ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, manage multiple projects, and take ownership of deliverables.
