Responsibilities
The Opportunity : Safety Manager (MOVE)
Location : Nuevo León, Mexico / / Mexico City
Travel Requirement : Up to 50% availability to travel
We are looking for a dedicated Safety Manager (MOVE) to lead Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives across our warehouses, mixing areas, and distribution centers. This role is critical in ensuring regulatory compliance, protecting people and assets, and driving a culture of continuous safety improvement.
Your Impact
- Ensuring compliance with EHS policies and procedures across assigned operational areas.
- Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks related to storage, transfer, mixing, and dispatch activities.
- Coordinating safety inspections and audits , generating reports, and ensuring timely follow-up on corrective actions.
- Enforcing proper use of PPE and safe work permits.
- Leading incident investigations using root cause analysis tools such as “5 Whys” and “Cause Tree.”
- Training operational teams on industrial safety, chemical handling, emergency response, and first aid.
- Monitoring regulatory compliance with STPS, SEMARNAT, and applicable NOMs.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with maintenance, operations, and logistics to prevent unsafe conditions.
- Maintaining accurate records of inspections, training, incidents, and safety data sheets.
- Organizing emergency drills and ensuring readiness of emergency response plans.
Qualifications
Who Are We Looking For?
We’re seeking a proactive and safety-driven professional to join our team. This role requires availability to travel up to 50% of the time, supporting operations across multiple sites.
Basic Requirements :
Education : Degree in Engineering and / or a Bachelor’s with a focus in EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety).Language : Fluent to advanced English communication skills.Experience : 8+ years in industrial safety, preferably in logistics, chemical, or manufacturing operations.Travel : Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.Budget managementKnowledge & Skills
Safety and hygiene regulations (e.g., NOM-004-STPS, NOM-005-STPS, NOM-017-STPS).Safe handling and storage of chemicals.Work permits and lockout / tagout procedures (LOTO).Incident investigation and risk analysis.Strong communication and operational leadership.Sharp observation and analytical skills.Comfort with fieldwork and working under pressure.Preventive mindset and service-oriented attitude.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Zero disabling accidents (LTIR, SR, RIR).
