Molding Controls Engineer

Mechatronic Engineer to be located in Saltillo, Coah.

at our Saltillo Technical Center.Under the direction of the CS MEPA Tool Engineering Supervisor, the successful candidate will demonstrate in-depth knowledge for APTIV's connection systems product linesThe Mechatronic Engineer with good bases on controls programing with also affinity to mechanical design capability .

Your Role (i.e. Key Job Responsibilities) : Develop concepts of integration robot with gripper and molding machineParticipate in early product development with molding tool engineerDesign and build robust solutions (integration gripper with molding tool) for manufacturing complying with Aptiv's and Customer specific Tool Std'sParticipate in product and tool design reviews, DFM, estimating process, ADP projects and Global Tool Standard activitiesMeet key dates, maintain through put and quality targetsPerform plans with focus and energy toward exceeding expectations and ensure compliance with customer specific requirementsManage and update mechanical and electrical drawingsDevelop PLC & HMI integration programs (gripper, molding machine, robot)Support plant with control programing and robot on mold production areasTroubleshooting manufacturing areas with legacy equipmentSupport manufacturing areas with Control programming for Vacuum / Communication / New equipment adaptationYour Required Background (i.e. Must Haves) : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering3+ years PLC & HMI knowledge for programming & debuggingTroubleshooting Electrical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic control circuitsDemonstrated ability to read / understand / make mechanical and electrical diagrams and drawingsDemonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office with advanced proficiency in Excel / PowerPointKnowledge in UG NX, or other CAD software (Solid Works, Pro-E, etc.)Must be willing and able to travel in Mexico or US (as needed to support)English Technical / Conversation is necessaryWork with multiple departments to release manufacturing cellsDevelop and maintain project timelines for internal and customer usage.Your Preferred Background (i.e. Nice to Haves) : Experience with plastics processing or plastic injection mold maintenanceRobot operation & programmingVision System programmingServomechanism integration with PLCsAdvanced proficiency with NX and in-depth understanding of GD&TExceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skillsAbility to adjust to constantly changing prioritiesAbility to work effectively with people at all levels in an organizationStrong results-orientation and execution characteristicsExcellent oral and written communication skills with a strong ability to work with a teamAbility to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions and solve problems independentlyResourcefully innovate and adapt in a rapidly changing environment.Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Project, Excel, Outlook, Skype, Teams, Visio, etc.Strong results orientation and execution characteristicsResourcefully innovative and adapts in a rapidly changing environmentAbility to work effectively with people at all levels in an organizationExcellent oral and written communication skills with a strong ability to work with a teamAbility to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions and solve problems independentlyStrong presence, poise and persuasiveness to establish a high level of credibility quicklyWHY JOIN US?
