Overview

As a Senior Data Governance Consultant , you will lead initiatives to ensure that organizational data is accurate, consistent, secure, and compliant with regulatory requirements. You will work closely with business leaders, IT teams, and data stewards to define, implement, and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices. This role is key to enabling data-driven decision-making and improving data quality across the enterprise.

Your Role And Responsibilities

Data Governance Strategy & Framework

  • Define, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
  • Develop data governance roadmaps aligned with business strategy and regulatory requirements.

Data Quality & Compliance

  • Monitor and improve data quality, consistency, and completeness across systems.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and internal policies.

    • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with business units, IT, and data stewards to enforce governance policies and resolve data-related issues.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in data governance and promote a culture of data ownership and accountability.

    • Data Stewardship & Metadata Management

  • Support the establishment and management of data stewardship roles and responsibilities.
  • Oversee metadata management and ensure proper documentation of data assets.

    • Tools & Technology

  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize data governance tools and platforms.
  • Support integration with data catalog, data quality, and master data management solutions.

    • Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to enhance data governance maturity.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data management.

    • Education and Experience

  • Preferred Education : Bachelor's Degree

    • Required Technical And Professional Expertise :

  • DAMA-DMBOK Certification
  • Data Quality frameworks and methodologies
  • Collibra / Informatica Axon or similar DG tools
  • SQL for quality analysis
  • MDM processes
  • Business Process Modeling - BPMN

    • Preferred Technical And Professional Experience :

  • CDMP Certification
  • Informatica Data Quality
  • Talend Data Preparation
  • PowerBI for DQ dashboards
  • GDPR / compliance regulatory experience
