Agilist Specialist Advisor

to join our team in GDL, Jalisco (MX-JAL), Mexico (MX).

Job Profile for the DAS Scrum Master

Responsibilities

Set up and lead daily / scrum ceremony type meetings and other meetings as needed for one or more teams as part of one or more programs / projects in scope for each Scrum Master.

Take meeting notes with or without the help of Microsoft CoPilot and convert these notes into detailed action items, then convert these action items into detailed JIRA stories or sub-tasks.

Assist client employees / contractors by setting up meetings, creating / updating status reports, and following up on action items via Teams Chat or email.

This role extends beyond traditional Scrum Master duties to include Project Manager and Project Coordinator tasks to reduce operational burden and free up client bandwidth for strategic effort.

Contribute to project / program risk management and performance management by identifying risks / issues impacting goals / SLA(s), KPI(s), etc.

Collaborate with the Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive risk mitigation plans, documented formally or informally.

Escalate team-level / program-level risks / issues to client employees including Senior Managers as needed to avoid further problems.

Understand the technical SDLC processes to track dependencies, identify missing steps / deliverables, and contribute to weekly / monthly planning activities.

Drive or contribute to planning efforts, formally and informally via Microsoft Teams Chat, identifying missing process steps, suggesting deliverables / templates for JIRA stories, and accounting for sufficient time in story points or planned hours.

Ensure each Story's work is complete, accurate and high-quality by understanding goals and deliverables; develop a quality checklist to ensure completeness before a JIRA story moves from "in-progress" to "in-review" to "done / accepted".

Understand project goals, SDLC process goals and inputs / outputs to identify / drive improvement opportunities for the overall process and its steps, including deliverables / templates.

Implement process changes and improvements at the team or project level or with individuals as needed.

Assist client employees by creating presentations, escalation summaries, status reports, etc. for executive and non-executive audiences.

Be highly proficient in using tools like JIRA, Confluence, Power BI, and Excel, including configuring or custom-building JIRA dashboards and Power BI reports for both Kanban and Scrum projects.

Experience in concurrently managing multiple projects and teams with differing maturity levels using JIRA, Scrum, & Kanban, while identifying program / project risks and people issues.

Ability to drive conversations with business and technical audiences regarding changing priorities, scope and impact on timelines and quality.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and priorities while delivering high quality work and a commitment to learning and improving skills and team performance.

Open to learning new skills and technologies to improve personal, team and process execution performance.
