Overview

Senior Legal Counsel role at NCR Voyix. Based in Mexico, you will serve as a senior legal leader for Mexico and the LATAM region, supporting a wide range of legal, compliance, and strategic matters. You will act as a trusted advisor to regional leadership, with responsibility for legal matters relating to commercial transactions, employment, payments, compliance, disputes, and regulatory risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise regional leadership, sales, and cross-functional teams across LATAM on legal and regulatory matters
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including SaaS, licensing, services, and subscription-based deals
  • Provide guidance on labor and employment issues, including internal investigations, terminations, and labor disputes
  • Counsel on anti-corruption, ethics, and regulatory compliance
  • Support regional litigation and dispute resolution matters
  • Contribute to M&A, corporate governance, restructuring, and other strategic initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations
  • Coordinate with and manage external counsel
  • Provide training to internal stakeholders on legal and compliance topics
  • Participate in global legal department initiatives, including template development and knowledge sharing

Qualifications & Experience

  • Fully qualified lawyer in Mexico
  • Minimum 8 years of legal experience, including in-house counsel or law firm work supporting multinational companies, ideally in the IT / SaaS sector
  • Demonstrated expertise in labor / employment law, commercial contracting, and compliance
  • Familiarity with payments and financial services regulations is a strong plus
  • Experience advising U.S.-based multinationals and navigating cross-border legal issues
  • Business-oriented mindset with strong judgment and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with broad responsibilities
  • Experience managing or mentoring legal professionals is preferred
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within the region
