Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our engineering team in the role of Sustaining Engineer II. This position involves executing process maintenance improvements through project execution, validations, and evaluations.

Key Responsibilities

The incumbent will perform various functions and tasks related to their work area, derived from the area's objectives and strategies.

Engineering work requiring full proficiency in all conventional aspects of engineering, including root cause analysis, implementation of corrections, and robust corrective actions.

Planning and executing changes such as material changes, product design updates, BOM revisions, assembly process modifications, manufacturing and quality procedure updates, validation of new test methods, line transfers, and associated qualifications.

Managing multiple projects simultaneously, including quality improvement initiatives, cost reduction projects, business continuity projects, and new product development projects.

Improving process yield, reducing scrap and waste, and minimizing non-conformances.

Required Skills and Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in science from a 4-year University engineering program is required.

2-5 years of experience in a similar role in medical device manufacturing.

Thorough understanding and broad application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the engineering field.

General knowledge of disciplines (GPM, GQR, sales, and operations).

Fully bilingual Spanish / English.

Professional Development

Working knowledge of basic statistics, including t-test, Cpk analysis, boxplots, histograms, normal probability analysis.

Understanding of PFMEA (process failure mode effect analysis), Gage R&R, value stream maps, and process flow charts.

Working knowledge of Solidworks, including creation of 3D models and assemblies, stack-up analysis, drawing creation, and dimensioning.
