Position Summary :
REZNOR is seeking a Quality Engineer, focusing on driving quality excellence, problem-solving, and process improvements. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the activities of Quality Leaders, ensuring effective implementation of quality processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :
Team Leadership :
- Lead and mentor a team of Quality Leaders, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities.
- Monitor and follow up on Quality Leaders activities, ensuring effective implementation of quality processes.
Problem Solving :
Lead complex problem-solving initiatives, applying methodologies such as 8D, Root Cause Analysis.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement effective solutions.Identify opportunity areas to implement improvements through a Error Proofing thinking.Kaizen Process Improvements :
Drive Kaizen initiatives to improve quality processes, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency.Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to achieve quality and productivity gains.Quality Metrics and Reporting :
Track and analyze quality metrics, including customer claims, reworks, and scrap.Provide regular reports to management on quality performance and initiatives.Track, analyze and improve quality metrics such as supplier demerits, internal demerits, reworks, scrap, and customer claims.Collaboration and Communication :
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain.Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.Quality System Maintenance :
Ensure compliance with quality management systems and maintain documentation. - Identify opportunities for quality system improvements and implement changes.Review, Update Control Plan / PFMEA based on manufacturing process & customer claims, and implementation ofAPQP and Core Tools process.
Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies such as ETL / Intertek, CSA, KIWA and UL.Requirements :
Bachelor’s Engineering (Electronic, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial) with 5 or more years of experience working in manufacturing environment.Minimum 5 -8 years of experience in quality engineering or a related role, with 2+ years of leadership experience.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with experience applying methodologies such as 8D, Root Cause Analysis, and Design of Experiments.Advanced level of English (spoken and written).Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. - Certification in quality engineering (CQE, etc.) or Six Sigma is a plus.Preferred Skills :
Experience with Heaters Products or similar industries (HVAC, Automotive, etc.)Familiarity with advanced quality tools and methodologies, such as FMEA, Control Plans, and Statistical Process Control.Bachelor’s Engineering in ElectronicKnowledge of GD&T and technical drawings.Exposure to supplier development and audits.What We Offer :
