OverviewSoftware Engineer III, Full Stack, Learning and EducationGoogle is hiring for a full-time software engineer to work on Google Classroom within the Learning and Education team.
The role involves developing the next-generation technologies to support billions of users and handling data at scale.
You will work on a full-stack web app, building user-facing interfaces, and helping scale the product while ensuring data privacy and safety.ResponsibilitiesDevelop scalable, end-to-end features and systems using Google's full stack.Write and test high-quality code that powers Google Classroom, ensuring a seamless experience for users.Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to other engineers to maintain code quality and promote best practices.Manage individual project priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality results.Participate in on-duty, triaging high priority issues and pushing out releases.Google Classroom is a full-stack web app.
You will work across the entire stack to build delightful user interfaces, scale the product to a multi-million user base, and ensure data privacy and safety.QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in academic or industry settings.2 years of experience with full-stack development, including back-end (Java, Python, Go, or C++) and front-end (JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
Preferred qualificationsMaster's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related field.Experience in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering.Experience in frontend coding tools and languages (e.g., JavaScript / Typescript, Flutter, Dart, Angular).
