This Process Engineer role supports the construction, installation, commissioning, and stable operation of a new manufacturing facility. The Process Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and standardizing production processes to meet safety, quality, efficiency, and cost goals. The position also leads process improvements, supports new product introductions, and manages capital projects aligned with global standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Participate in construction and equipment installation phases of a Greenfield plant
- Lead commissioning, validation, and start-up of production lines and systems
- Develop process qualification and readiness plans with engineering and EHS teams
- Implement manufacturing documentation (SOPs, process sheets, HMI parameters)
- Ensure process capability and stability through data analysis and feedback
- Monitor and improve production processes for safety, quality, and efficiency
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective / preventive actions
- Optimize raw material usage and batch parameters to reduce costs
- Lead process safety and cost optimization projects
- Manage engineering changes and capacity expansion initiatives
- Coordinate Management of Change (MOC) meetings and documentation
- Lead or support CAPEX projects, including scope, budgeting, and execution
- Track project milestones and report progress to leadership
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to eliminate waste and improve productivity
- Monitor process KPIs and support digital performance tracking
- Ensure compliance with EHS, ISO, and internal standards
- Participate in risk assessments, audits, and documentation reviews
- Support external audits and implement corrective actions as needed
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering3–5 years of experience in process engineering or manufacturing rolesStrong understanding of process design, commissioning, and optimizationExperience managing CAPEX projects and process validationKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis toolsProficient in Microsoft Office, SAP, and data analysis softwareFluent in English (written and spoken)Familiarity with Emerson Delta V system (preferred)Preferred Requirements
Experience in Greenfield plant start-up and commissioningKnowledge of polymerization or adhesive process operationsFamiliarity with ISO, OSHA, GMP, or OEA / CTPAT standardsExperience in multinational manufacturing environmentsCertification in Lean, Six Sigma, or Black / Green Belt methodologiesExperience in Process Safety Management (PSM), HAZOP, or FMEA techniques
