About the role

The VAT Refund Specialist will be responsible for executing VAT refund processes, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations, and optimizing recoverable cash flow.

Key responsibilities include :

✅ Preparing, reviewing, and submitting VAT refund requests.

✅ Ensuring full compliance with tax regulations (CFDIs, REPSE vendors, reconciliations).

✅ Validating supporting documentation from Procurement, Logistics, Accounting, and Trade Compliance.

✅ Managing audits and follow-ups with tax authorities (SAT).

✅ Reviewing and supporting the work of the VAT Refund Analyst.

✅ Monitoring regulatory updates related to VAT refunds and exports.

✅ Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and timely refund processes.

Candidate profile

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (mandatory)

Master’s degree (a plus)

Proven expertise in VAT refunds

4–5 years of experience in tax roles (focused on VAT refunds)

️ English communication skills

Proficient in Excel , ERP systems (SAP preferred), and tax reporting tools

Solid experience with SAT documentation and audits
