Quality System Engineer – Dana Incorporated

Coordinate the updating and operation of the Quality Management System, in accordance with ISO / IATF 16949, to ensure compliance with customer, internal, and other requirements, supporting Safety and Environment areas (ISO 14001, ISO 45001), as well as Ford Q1, CQI-8, and VDA certifications (CQI-29, and VDA).

Responsibilities and duties

• Prepare the annual program of internal audits, in accordance with defined processes, to comply with specific customer requirements and the ISO / IATF 16949 standard.
• Coordinate activities prior to internal audits, in accordance with the ISO / IATF 16949 standard, to draw up the audit agenda.
• Identify non-conformities, observations, and areas for improvement in the Quality Management System by compiling the checklists of internal auditors to prepare the audit report per ISO / IATF 16949.
• Support coordination and assistance during the execution of external audits, ensuring auditors have objective evidence of compliance with the QMS.
• Generate and follow up on corrective and preventive actions derived from the audits to ensure effective and timely actions leading to compliance and improvement of the QMS.
• Determine the status of internal audits and processes to prepare the management review report.
• Coordinate updating of QMS documentation due to internal changes (responsibilities and policies) and external changes (updates to standards, changes in customer requirements, corporate changes), applying procedures for dissemination and implementation by personnel in plant areas.
• Coordinate activities of the Management Review Board as required by the ISO / IATF 16949 QMS.
• Coordinate LPA process audits to identify possible deviations and generate immediate corrective actions.
• Carry out activities aimed at continuous improvement of the area, processes, and indicators, to contribute to compliance and improved results.
• Comply with company safety regulations to prevent accidents and unsafe acts and conditions.
• Manage scrap in the plant for disposal, segregation, monitoring, and destruction.
