IFRS 17

Associates (including Seniors)

Requirements

  • Years of experience required : Associate 1 – 3 years, Senior Associate 3 – 5 years
  • Passed exams and progression towards an Associate designation from CAS, Institute of Actuaries or other equivalent actuarial society
  • Proficient in English (speaking and writing)
  • Familiarity with IFRS 17 standard and IFRS measurement models, especially the PAA.

    • Activities

  • Perform the necessary checks to key inputs provided by the client required for calculation outputs.
  • Communicate update needed to data inputs and issues noted during inputs reconciliation review.
  • Assess the variability of assumptions such as loss ratios and risk-free rates.
  • Review the PAA qualitative testing.
  • Maintain the necessary documentation for the various tools used in the IFRS 17 calculations.
