Overview

[MEX] Senior Software Solutions Architect at Spectrum Effect. Based in Monterrey, Mexico. Spectrum Effect is a growing ML-driven automation company delivering disruptive technologies for the wireless and telecommunications industry. We are seeking a proactive Senior Software Solutions Architect to drive technical vision, design scalable and secure software solutions, and influence our technology stack.

This position offers ownership opportunities through stock options and competitive salaries. This is a hybrid role based in Monterrey, Mexico, with flexibility for relocation as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Solution Development : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver software solutions that meet customer needs and drive business growth.
  • Proactive Problem Solving : Anticipate and address complex technical challenges, leading efforts to mitigate risks while ensuring project timelines and quality.
  • Documentation and Communication : Develop clear documentation for system architectures, standards, and best practices. Communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Interface with customers, propose solutions based on high-level requirements, and prepare supporting materials.
  • Mentorship : Provide leadership and mentorship to R&D team members to foster technical excellence and continuous learning.
  • Agile Adaptation : Thrive in an environment with evolving priorities and requirements, adapting strategies as necessary.

Sample Projects

  • Oversee implementation of application metrics and alarms.
  • Research and design system integrations for customers (e.g., trouble ticket systems, alarm systems, in-house platforms) and streamline integrations with third-party tools.
  • Support API implementation for customers and develop a holistic view and strategy for customer-facing API development.
  • Explore improvements to Spectrum-NET architecture, including cloud-native approaches, security hardening, and decoupling legacy designs.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of software development experience, with at least 5 years in an architectural or technical leadership role.
  • Strong experience designing and implementing cloud-based architectures (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages (Python, Java, C#, JavaScript).
  • Deep understanding of microservices, APIs, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with proven success engaging technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Proven initiative, ability to drive results, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred Skills

  • Experience in a startup or small company environment.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (CI / CD, monitoring, automation).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Background in security and compliance within software solutions.
  • Ability to influence and drive organizational change through technical innovation.
