Dir Training and safety

Direct, plan, and oversee the company’s training and safety strategies, ensuring compliance with national and international operational and occupational safety regulations, as well as the development of employee competencies to guarantee safe, efficient, and high-quality service in the aviation industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive training and safety programs with compliance initiatives for employees across the organization.
• Collaborate with department heads and managers to identify training and safety needs.
• Design training materials, including manuals, presentations, e-learning modules, and compliance documentation.
• Deliver engaging and effective training sessions through various formats, including in-person, virtual, and self-paced learning.
• Conduct needs assessments to measure the effectiveness of training and compliance programs and implement continuous improvements.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards in all operational and training activities.
• Supervise and manage compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including OSHA, AFAC, IATA, SICT, SENEAM, STPS, NOM 01, NOM 02, NOM 017, NOM 030, etc.
• Facilitate ongoing training on regulatory compliance, including safety, security, and legal requirements.
• Develop and implement processes to monitor and report on compliance and training metrics.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training and compliance content remains current and aligned with industry standards.
• Manage training logistics, including scheduling, resources, and training facilities.
• Evaluate and recommend training technologies and tools to enhance the training and compliance experience.
• Monitor and track employee progress and development through training and compliance programs.
• Stay up to date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and training best practices to improve the quality and effectiveness of training and compliance initiatives.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by management.

REQUIRED PROFILE :

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in aviation training and safety roles (mandatory) , bilingual (Spanish / English), availability to travel. Experience in Menzies, Swissport, Aeromexico, Volaris, United, Mexicana, etc is a plus!

Strategic thinking, high integrity and confidentiality, multitasking, leadership, decision-making, planning, and analysis. Ability to communicate with senior leadership. Experience handling audits with regulatory authorities. Management of learning centers.

LANGUAGES :

Advanced English – C2

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE :

Training, experience in the aviation sector (essential), safety regulations.

EDUCATION :

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Business Administration, Aeronautical Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
