Accounts Payable Specialist Job Description

The Accounts Payable Associate plays a crucial role in the finance department, responsible for managing vendor relationships and ensuring timely processing and payment of invoices.

This position requires meticulously handling financial transactions and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

As an integral part of our finance team, the Accounts Payable Associate will contribute to the organization's financial efficiency by ensuring seamless payable operations and adherence to financial policies.

• Invoice entry- Scanning, coding and verification of data
• Manual Payments- recording of electronic payments with verification of back up documentation
• Void Payables / Payments- Voiding payments and / or payables with verification of backup documentation
• Positive Pay Exception Clearing- Research exceptions provided by Treasury in a timely manner, run and send positive pay reports as needed.
• Process payment batches-Remote.
• Stitch and store documentation for all transactions processed
• Verify completeness of New Vendor Packets
• Run reports for 1099 processing
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions
• Assist with month-end closing
• Maintain vendor files and prepare analysis of accounts
