Senior SAP Analyst, Finance

Position Overview :

The Senior SAP Analyst, Finance is a critical member of the IT Corporate Team and reports to the Senior Manager Global IT Corporate Systems.

Working in a dynamic, collaborative team environment, the successful candidate will support and guide the Global SAP S4 HANA implementation and future support of SAP S / 4 HANA for Insulet's Finance functions through business processes definition, analysis of business problems, analytics, proposal / design / configuration / implementation of technical solutions, and continued development of the partnership with Insulet's Finance organization.

The Senior Analyst will focus on projects and processes related to Finance and Accounting, Cost Accounting, Product costing, Group Reporting, External and Internal Reporting, including integrations with other supporting applications.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to comprehend business processes and context, while also having intimate SAP functional knowledge to design and configure appropriate system solutions.

Responsibilities :

Perform complex business and systems analysis work; conduct requirements gathering / analysis via information gathering sessions with business users and technical staff.

Develop supporting process flows.

Conduct analysis of existing business processes; recommend process improvements.

Build and implement new business process solutions in SAP S / 4 HANA related to Finance process improvements.

Responsible for providing data expertise and consulting related to operational reporting and analytics.

Consult with business users to improve adoption and efficient use of all systems related to Finance job functions.

Create and manage workflows in SAP S / 4 HANA as they pertain to business processes.

Assist in the evaluation of third-party tools for feasibility and impact to the business.

Work with the corporate systems team to design and implement integrations between SAP S / 4 HANA and external systems.

Create and maintain business requirement documentation which can include use cases, process flows, and system interface diagrams.

Create design documentation based on business requirements.

Communicate effectively with business users on the status of enhancements and projects.

Develop comprehensive test plans with users, coordinate test activities and / or help execute test components.

Develop and perform training for Business Process Owners and Subject Matter Experts as necessary.

Create Functional Design Documents in a clear and concise manner to facilitate custom developments

Perform other duties as required.

Education and Experience :

Bachelor's Degree and / or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

Minimum six years of experience working with SAP in a Business Analyst / Functional role preferred

Experience with S / 4 HANA a plus.

Minimum four years of experience working on large projects or programs related to Finance preferred

Experience working for a public company with international experience is strongly desired.

Hands-on experience in SAP Controlling-Product costing and SAP Group Reporting are highly desired.

Well-rounded experience in all the SAP FICO areas such as GL, AR, AP, AA, Treasury / Banking and CO, preferred.

Ideal candidate will preferred have knowledge of the following systems and / or processes :

Inter-Company Transactions

4PL Integrations for Finance

Record to Report

Product Costing

Group Reporting

Order to Cash

Procure to Pay

Plan to Produce

Month end / Year end close procedures

Consolidations and Financial Reporting

Proven ability to provide business analysis and system configuration deliverables related to process improvement.

Experience supporting or working with Finance organizations, preferably in the pharmaceutical, medical device, or any other regulatory controlled industry.

SAP S / 4 HANA certifications preferred.

Proven knowledge of the software and systems development life cycle.

Strong functional knowledge of Finance business processes.

Working knowledge of cross-functional areas related to postings in FI.

Expert level knowledge of integration points for FICO with other components of SAP S / 4 HANA.

Expert level functional knowledge in SAP CO-Product costing and Profitability Analysis would be a plus.

Good technical knowledge of banking interfaces for both outgoing and incoming payments.

Experience in Electronic bank statement processing would be a plus.

Basic technical knowledge SAP Tables related to FI and other cross-functional components including Universal Journal in S / 4 HANA.

Overall knowledge of SAP Landscapes, Transport paths and Change Management knowledge of SAP Security / Fiori Apps for building user roles, access control and support SoX audits.

Skills / Competencies :

Self-sufficient, flexible, and motivated team player capable of managing several activities simultaneously.

Ability to work in a deadline focused, dynamic environment, and consistently produce deliverables within agreed upon timelines.

Ability to analyze problems and develop solutions accounting for the larger system wide impacts.

Excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills are critical.

Ability to analyze business processes, design process improvements, and train business users on the new processes.

Excellent writing skills.

Must have the ability to express strategy, technical knowledge, and processes in easily understood presentations.

Positive, results driven, rational, logical, team player.

Ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies.

Ability to work independently & on multiple projects against deadlines.

Experience in the healthcare, pharma or medical device industry a plus.

Physical Requirements :

Less than 15% Travel

NOTE

: This position is eligible for hybrid working arrangements and requires on-site work from an Insulet office at least three (3) days per week.
