Your role

As a Cost Engineering Analyst, you will play a crucial role in our automotive financial planning team, providing critical cost insights that drive strategic decisions throughout the vehicle development lifecycle. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cost targets are met while maintaining product quality and performance standards. In this role you will play a key role in :

• Component Cost Analysis : Estimate piece costs for various vehicle components (BIW, head lamps, ECUs, interior trims, etc.). Analyze supplier quotes against estimated budgets to identify variances. Evaluate vendor tooling costs and fluctuations to support accurate financial planning
• Cost Optimization & Benchmarking : Conduct vehicle teardown and benchmarking activities to identify cost improvement opportunities. Generate cost reduction proposals based on technical and commercial analysis. Support supplier negotiations with data-driven insights and alternative solutions.
• Cross-functional Collaboration : Support global Product Engineering Cost (PEC) activities across multiple teams. Work closely with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing departments. Promote cost awareness throughout the organization through effective communication.
• Financial Planning & Reporting : Track and validate actual component costs against targets. Report on cost KPIs and ensure alignment with financial objectives. Contribute to budget planning processes for new vehicle programs.
