Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an Import & Foreign Trade Specialist for one of their clients in the Querétaro, MX area within the food manufacturing industry. This role will start as remote and then transition to an onsite position in Querétaro. The specialist will manage the full lifecycle of import operations, primarily coordinating shipments from the U.S. to Mexico and ensuring compliance with Mexican customs laws and international trade regulations. The specialist will handle documentation such as pedimentos, commercial invoices, and customs declarations, and will work closely with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government authorities like SAGARPA and SADER. Daily responsibilities include tracking shipments, resolving customs issues, processing invoices, and maintaining accurate records in systems. The role requires frequent communication in both Spanish and English, especially when liaising with teams in Mexico and Kansas City. Candidates must have 3–5 years of import experience in the food industry and be highly proficient in technical documentation and customs processes. Familiarity with ERP systems and customs software is preferred. Export experience is a plus.
